Newsphotography.co.uk is primarily a database of digital photographs of key UK figures in the health, charity, social housing, trade union, party political and lobbying sectors. Many have been taken at the main debates and fringe events at the annual conferences of the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat parties.
The database represents a sample of the conference photography ofMousetrap Media Ltd and our photographers Brendan Kelly and John Thompson. It is not intended to be a fully comprehensive portfolio of their work.
The database is free to browse, but you will need to be a registered user to receive the high-resolution versions for reproduction (they will be instantly emailed to you). Registered users are required to abide by our terms and conditions and to pay the appropriate reproduction fees (see prices).
You can search by keyword(s) – eg Tony Blair – or drill down through the category folders (follow the links). Click on the thumbnail images to see a larger version of the image, and follow the link at the end of the caption to be emailed a hi-res version of the image (registered users only).
Over the coming months we hope to add some new categories, including some feature sections. If you are a press photographer looking for an outlet to display and market your stock feature images (for example, health sector, social services, housing etc), please signify your interest by completing our online form.
Picture editors please note: images from the Liberal Democrats, Labour and Conservative party conferences in autumn 2001 will be uploaded to this site as they are taken – register now to get instant access to the reproduction-quality versions.
